Soundari is an Organisational Consultant and a Business Storytelling Coach.

She helps leaders and teams create engagement and organisational commitment through the power of storytelling, and so be “human” at the workplace.

She has worked in the areas of finance, operations, banking, and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong, the Middle East, and India. With over 30 years’ experience between Unilever, ANZ, her firm TSol, and in her new avatar Soundbytes11, Soundari has an insider’s view on the challenges that organisations and teams face and this drives her passion while working on consulting and capability building projects.

Soundari is known for cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business alliances by building relationships, deepening client engagement, and through extensive community involvement.

She has worked with a variety of clients, including banks, consulting firms, law firms, women’s organisations, relocation agents, and fashion houses − for example, the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management, PMI HK, Harvard Business School India Research Center, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, HKUST Business School Alumni Association, and the Equal Opportunities Commission.

She has run programs on Business Storytelling, personal branding (online and offline), thriving in the New Normal, networking, enabling a Future Fit Workforce, overcoming unconscious bias, cross cultural intelligence, and responsible leadership.

Soundari has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai, is a qualified Cost and Works Accountant, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. She recently completed a Women on Boards program through Aspire for Her in association with AWE Funds US and the US Consulate in Mumbai.

She has participated in various conferences on Business Storytelling and culture building, spoken on panels about leadership, the future of work, unconscious bias, and diversity and inclusion, and is a mentor in multiple Women’s and NGO platforms.

She is visiting faculty at IIM Kozhikode, Plaksha University, and Shoolini University. She has been the honorary speaker at institutions such as the School of Business at UPES, Dehradun, the MS PhD Communication program at IIT Bombay, and the All India Management Association.

Soundari is passionate about working with the startup ecosystem. She has organised programs to help women explore opportunities as they transition across locations and careers.

When she is not working with clients, chatting with her family and friends, or reading books, you will find her at the tennis court or working on a pottery wheel.
